Javier Julio

Hi, I'm Javier. Or Xavi as my family and friends call me. I was born in the summer of 1983 in Washington, D.C. USA where I have spent all my life in or around the metropolitan area. The D.C. vicinity has really become a mecca for ColdFusion development. I have been working in ColdFusion since January 2004 and never have looked back. Besides web development, I've found myself to have a real appreciation for great design and am self taught in all the design skills I possess. For those wondering about the technical side of this website, it was built by utilizing the best in valid XHTML Strict 1.0 markup, CSS, a pinch of JavaScript, and ColdFusion 8.

Besides development, in my free time I really enjoy anything and everything soccer. I read about the sport daily with my favorite news regarding several of the top European leagues. I stay in shape by going to the gym regularly and eating well. I play whenever I can even if it means just kicking the ball around with a friend or two. I recently played in an indoor league for the winter. In the future I would like to return to coaching.

I'm quite fond of EA Sports' FIFA Soccer and Manager series and have been playing them since 1998. I try to watch what matches I can that are shown on television. For the curious, my favorite club teams are Newcastle United (England), Valencia (Spain), and Lazio (Italy). In the international scene I follow Argentina, Italy, Spain and USA.

Other interests of mine include traveling and gaming. I've traveled to over 25 international cities, the majority being in Europe. The countries I've visited are Spain, Argentina, France, Italy and Greece. On PC I enjoy playing the Orange Box, Republic Commando, and currently Sid Meier's Railroads. As far as consoles go I own several. On PSP I'm a real big Mercury, Wipeout Pure, Wipeout Pulse fan and I do my FIFA gaming on the PS2.
