Rigatoni Italiano

Don't want something so plain yet so complicated or time consuming? Rigatoni Italiano is best for that purpose as everything can be done while the pasta is boiling.


Rigatoni Italiano, mainly known as "Greek Pasta" here at home, has been a favorite for many years now. The best part about this recipe is its immense flavor and the fact all the ingredients can be washed and prepared while the pasta is boiling. It takes little effort and only requires 4 ingredients which 3 making up the colors of the italian flag.

Recipe Instructions

  1. Wash and then chop several large leaves of basil
  2. Dry basil works just fine if you don't have any fresh leaves
  3. Chop feta cheese into small squares (or they can be purchased crumbled)
  4. Chop 2 or 3 fresh tomatoes (cherry tomatoes work great too!)
  5. Boil the rigatoni pasta
  6. Remove the boiling water and put the pasta back in the pot
  7. Add in the basil, tomatoes and feta cheese
  8. Add as much olive oil as you like
  9. Mix the pasta and sauce well before serving
