  • Enhanced a Question Picker application that was a full jQuery AJAX application to be cross browser compliant, support nested categories, dynamic modal windows, and complex addition/removal of questions.
  • Developed a scoring analysis management Flex/ColdFusion application interacting with stored procedures through remoting calls to CF components.

  • Worked on a team of 4 to develop a custom content management system with template, document and element content versioning that was a ColdFusion 8, object oriented, Model Glue application. Along with back end development I specialized in handling the UI.
  • Started and completed the redesign of the AboutWeb site using web standards (valid XHTML/CSS) with no tables for layout. Provided extensive knowledge in web standards and accessibility to fellow employees.
  • Worked on site for Intelliworks adding new features and troubleshooting bugs with their ColdFusion based CRM application for Higher Education.
  • Hired to work on an object oriented, Model Glue, ColdFusion flash form based application for AAO (American Academy of Otolaryngology) where doctors could submit research papers and have their peers review them.

Presented and tutored students at Montgomery College for the beginners and advanced ColdFusion classes. Regularly present topics to both classes and informing students of current trends in the local community. One of my future goals is to become an instructor/professor.
Web Developer, Katrina Lost and iRelocated

Volunteer project to aid the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Developed a ColdFusion application where users could submit information on missing relatives, contact information, and any available free housing. Katrina Lost was built over a weekend. On launch day we had 179,000 visitors and used 10GB of bandwidth in 10 days! This project lead to another called iRelocated but never took off. Besides the back end, I handled front end development with a web standards approach.

Took care of daily website management and regularly added new content and features to both sites which were built in ASP. Completed the redesign of both sites to utilize web standards (source ordering, no tables for layout, etc.) and re-architected both with a complete new ASP back end that provided more flexibility when implementing SEO, code reusability, and overall maintenance ease resulting in fewer and lighter files.

Managed several client websites and applications. Added new shopping cart features to a Fusebox 3 ColdFusion application. Learned to program in ASP since majority of the work was in that language. In ASP I learned to do all major functionality such as mailing scripts, dynamic forms, database design and queries.

Developed an auto emailing system for realtors within the clients area or across the USA. Built with ColdFusion MX7 that consisted of a self posting form with server side validation that inserts data into a database. Four different dates are stored seven days apart. Utilized scheduled tasks to query the database to send out reports via email.

Assisted the web strategist at WRI as I was hired for my ColdFusion skills. Built several ColdFusion applications ranging from event calendars, ColdFusion enabled forms (comment and sign-up for newsletter forms), search interfaces, and my biggest project being the addition of a cross browser, drop down menu for the WRI web site (no longer in place) replacing their old JavaScript tree menu.

Hired as an assistant manager to help take store off impact. The latter was achieved after an inventory in November 2003. Supervised all employees, opened and closed the store, counted the drawers, did the deposit, received the shipments, and completed daily store paperwork.
